Tao's unique, hand made pipes have hand made stems of black rubber, artificial amber or Cumberland. The belts are nearly always made of silver, and they form a perfect connection between stem and shank.
Currently Tao is not making any pipes, but he prepares his return to the business around the Chicago Show 2003.
