Nanna is one of the very few young Danish carvers, but with a strong background in the pipe making business being the daughter of Lars Ivarsson and the grand daughter of Sixten Ivarsson.
Nanna is a very talented pipe maker as well as a recognized industrial designer. With a production of only 40-50 pipes a year it’s likely that you have never seen a Nanna-pipe, but if you get the chance, you should take a closer look.
Although the inspiration of her father, Nanna has her own clear style, and a craftsmanship that her grandfather would be proud of.
It’s amazing to see the old machinery of Sixten still in full function and to see the quality and precision it still delivers despite its simplicity.
